A large 3* Ocean front Hotel on the South Eastern tip of Mafia Island that also hosts our partner Dive Centre : Mafia Island Diving.
 

Mafia Island Lodge stands amidst tall palms on a sandy beach in Chole Bay, in the heart of the marine park near Utende village on South coast of Mafia.

And has the ONLY white sand beach unaffected by the tides.

Mafia Island Lodge has 30 comfortable rooms that are located among the coconut trees. All rooms have their own veranda overlooking the bay or the large park that surrounds us, hot water available in every room.

Single and double beds are available.

On the beach

The different accommodation categories are:

– 10 standard rooms that can be either twin or double, connecting the beds, with air conditioning and fan.
– 3 family rooms composed of two connected rooms, one double and one twin with two separate bathrooms, fan and shared veranda.
– 14 superior rooms, double or twin, all with air conditioning and fan.
– 3 suites, privileged in the seafront location, with large private and equipped garden, air conditioning and fan, large bathroom and walk-in closet, fridge, safe and private coffee corner.

The main lodge has a relaxing atmosphere with a large open restaurant, bar and lounge area. And one of the few places on the Island with good Wifi reception. Board games, table tennis, billiard/pool and volleyball are also available.  Down at the beach there is a bar opposite the dive centre and beach shop selling local souvenirs.

Being an Italian owned and managed Hotel the food is excellent and the quality of fresh fish served is second only to Japan !

This is the perfect hotel to stay at if you are in Mafia to Dive.

  • Single occupancy supplement: +20% of official rates. NO single occupancy for suite rooms.

*Waterbottle $10 for refilling with free mineral water.

  • New Year and Christmas Dinner: supplement of $25 per person on the 25th and 31st of December (including special dinner and a glass of wine).
