Newly opened in 2018, Kivulini translates to “in the shade “ which is a hint of the beautiful tropical gardens and trees found at Kivulini.

 

Located in Utende near the East coast of Mafia and in the Marine Park it is not on the beach but they do provide a free shuttle service to the beach (only 3 mins drive away) and Mafia Island Diving scuba base, as well as free use of bicycles.

There is a large swimming pool as it is not on the beach.

With only 5 modern, spacious, ensuite bungalows all equipped with air conditioning and fans it is never too busy!

Ally also operates the premier deep sea fishing boat on Mafia.
A “Chachungi” 30ft boat for four anglers that can comfortably reach the outer reefs can be chartered on a full or half day basis.

Amongst the catch are Yellow Fin Tuna, Giant Trevally, Wahoo, Sailfish, Dogtooth Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, Dorado & Barracuda.

Prices start at $80 per person, half board based on twin/double occupancy. Low & High season rates apply. Marine Park fees are extra.
